About program
The IFRC is the world's largest humanitarian network, comprising 191 National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies working to save lives, build community resilience, strengthen localization and promote dignity around the world.
The world is at a critical moment for climate action. Climate disasters are increasing, and communities everywhere are feeling the impacts. At the same time, global cooperation is under pressure - making strong leadership and practical solutions more important than ever.
Across the world, people are already taking action in their own communities. But these local solutions often lack the support and financing needed to grow. Today, only a small share of global climate funding reaches the local level.
